This will probably be a few year build, but we'll see how it goes. Things move slowly here in Hawaii and are VERY expensive.

My dream car has always been a blown roadster so.....

One day I just happened upon this:

It was supposed to be (and appeared to be!) an original 32 frame and some really lightweight body of unknown origin. Figured it would be a great starting place - so I picked it up.

My goal, originally, was to build a land speed record D/BGR, but after some design, parts research and budgeting I realized that Bonneville was out of my fiscal capability.

I'm still getting used to posting pictures here... I'm used to hosting on another site and posting links. Seems to take way too long, so I'm trying the gallery.

While researching the land speed racing thing, I noticed several builds (even some streamliners) being built on a wood chassis plate. ...so I went for it. Much cheaper/easier solution here in Hawaii.

Loaded up the family truckster to take them for sandblasting...

While I was waiting on the sandblaster guy, I found an engine. Since the hopes of running in a class at Bonneville were out the window - hence the desire to run the coyote 5.0 - I opened up with search window and a great friend offered me this bullet:

It's a World Products aluminum SBF 9.5 deck ht (351) with World Products 225cc heads. Assembled by Coast High Performance using 427 cu. in. forged internals. Hydraulic roller cam and complete Holley HP fuel injection system.

Rails back and a light coat of weld thru primer applied.

Started boxing, filling holes, repairing damage/modifications etc.

Great work and that is an awesome engine! The wife doesn't frown at the truckster having those rails on top of it?

Looking for a screaming deal on a used 8-71 blower now... Probably going to take a while.

That front suspension looks like it'll be pretty cool!

Still working on the front suspension...
My plan is to cut the wheels out of motorcycle wheel blanks 18"x5.5" in the back and 21"x3.25" in the front.

I envy your AutoCadd skills! An old general rule of thumb is to look for nominal six to eight inches of OD drop back to front, "rubber rake" as they say. With your 18's to 21's and selected tires will you have much drop, or are you looking at the drop being quite a bit less? Just curious what you're planning.

Good eye. I'm going for a look that will be very different that what we are used to. The OD of the front tire/wheel is a bit much though. I find it might be difficult to maintain the ride height I want while designing the push rod suspension....
