Up date on Maroon 32 5 Winder
Well all does not go as planned. Got ready to deliver the 32 5 window 2 weeks ago. Fired it up and let it warm up while I hooked up the trailer to load it. Came back into the shop to find a puddle of water under the left tail pipe. Shut it down, checked the oil and had a "Milk Shake".
Caled the new owner and explained the situation. Tell him I'm gonna put a new GM crate bullit in it @ N/C but give me 2 weeks. He says "No Problem"
So spent last weekend swappin it out.
Tinkered on it this week .
Loaded up this am and delivered it 1/2 way to him.
Now mind you, he has already paid for this car and only seen pics. I get to the 1/2 point about 15 minutes B4 him.
Unload and wipe it down.
He pulls up, lockin his brakes in the gravel, jumps out and is almost doin double back flips.
I say "what ya think? all he can say is "Frickin beautiful" about 20 times. I help him load on his trailer and get ready to go and he say's "Here I got a new motor and I'm payin for it" Hands me an envelope and says don't open it until yer down the road.
Off I go and 10 miles later I open it and it's enuf to buy 3 motors.
Got anutter happy customerWhen I get to where I was goin, I forgot why I went there>

A little honesty goes a long way. You kno a customer is happy when something like that happensYou don't know what you've got til it's gone

We managed to get a couple of other small things taken care of. One was blacking out the front of the core support. When the sun hit the front of the car just right that green paint on the core...
