I had today off from work and did some light wood working decided to go to an iconic brew pub/ mechanics shop in the country off a very busy highway. I was chatting with a bar mate, when a semi hit a guy in a van trying to make a left turn across the country highway. Next thing I saw was the fresh fruit floral arrangements van headed straight towards the window where I was seated at about 50-60 mph. I reacted knocking over the bar stool, grabbing the guy next to me and diving away from the impending doom!. The van swerved to the side of us hitting a parked Jeep owned by the bar keep. I got up and made some quick decisions, ran outside, saw smoke, got the guy out of the van, went back in to get his shoe in the crushed cab area, took him inside to sit down and got some wet towels to wash off his arm, leg and face where blood was oozing. Once the Paramedics arrived I sat back down and had a beer!
