Man oh man, you guy's better close this thread down because it will be a full out war. Everyone here has been at eachothers throats and almost lost tons of members so maybe we should keep this thread down low? We have had these threads about 10 times already and they all turn into fights, etc. Too bad I can't close this one down myself.www.streamlineautocare.com

FMX I did not make the post to start an argument , rather to point out the fact that there are some serious rides [ imports ] around here . When I was young folks always were bad mouthing rodders , so when I see some guy put sweat and blood into his ride , I have nothing but respect . I run a vette and catch all kind of flack because it is not stock ,,,,,,,,, and I really do not like it ! Soooooo I certainly am not going to dis anyone elses ride . I hope this post is not offensive to anyone , no offense intended .

I know you didn't mean to start nothing. I just wanted to make sure noone would complain. If you would have seen what happened a few days/week ago then you would agree with me. It just seems like any time someone posts something about ricers or rat rods then people start to fight and that's the last thing these boards need right now. No hard feelings though man. Got any pics of your Vette?www.streamlineautocare.com

I have my eye out for a Cavalier with an ECOTEC. Gonna be my first FWD build since my Escort circle tracker back in '87. I'd like to take on the imports with some American muscle.http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/647081

Looks good man! Good color choice! The ari cleaners are sweet I think, it is something different, you used your head to have to make them and not many people would think of that.www.streamlineautocare.com

jdhogg- "There is no substitute for cubic inches" is what you meant to say, right?
And torque cannot be compensated for in 4 cylinder engines.

I have never been into imports as more than a basic daily driver until my son drug me to the sport compact drags there I denver. I have to admit I was a little impressed. But I think i'll stick with my good old american iron when it comes to a hot rod.
I will confess my to work car and back is a honda accorrd, 260,000 miles and haven't put any thing in it but normal maintence items, it just won't die. Wish I could say the same about my hot rods.

ive never lost too one until a red eclipse put my 12.00 chevelle down at norwalk ohio, to a 11.63. i went home and didt talk for days
My grandfather, mom's side, drove a 39 Plymouth coupe when I was about 4 or 5 and I thought it was pretty cool and I loved the tail fins on the 49 Cadillac. I drew cars when I was in the 5th and 6th...
How did you get hooked on cars?
