Hight wins it!!!
What a comeback!!! Robert Hight won Funny car at Vegas. Even spun the tires in the last round and still managed to beat Ron Capps who also spun. Maybe it was a bit of divine intervention with Eric Medlin meddlin'???? Who cares? Just good to see Team Force bounce back with a win after such a tragedy. Also, Eric's buddy Brandon Bernstein won Top Fuel!!!!! All things are again right in the world of drag racing..... RIP, EricYesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Some great pics, Chris!!! Thanks for posting them!!!! I watched Ashley a couple times in Top Alcohol, she's got a lot of talent wheeling one of these ill-handling funnie floppers~!!!!! Has a lot more going for her then just Daddy's last name!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

To rush the one of the youngest females into the sport just for your little niche is asking for trouble, IMO I think thats says it all for the man. I have all faith in the girl but I think she was pushed into the driver seat way to early. I think if I was in the same position I would not put my kid in the drivers seat until they had many more years experience. A lot of things happen real fast and only experience can get you out of the bad situations. Lack of experience will only make a bad situation worse. At this time when I think of her going down the track I just want to close my eyes at hope for the best as the car goes 320-330 mph down the track.

We got auto`s from john, but i guess at the time we were in the pits she was buzy, i saw alot of people with auto`s from her, bad timing i guess.
I agree dave i think she is gonna be a great driver, i think she has her daddy`s fire in her, and is gonna make her own name. I think once she gets through this first season and gets more confidence she is gonna kick some serious butt.

I agree some what, but have you seen her drive, she manhandels that car, when i saw her run at gainsville on her qualifying run she lost traction at about halve track began swerving back and forth badly, but got control hit the gas and continued her run, that told everybody how in control she is. The thing i never understood is why she did not run dragster, that is what she was used to, if your gonna go pro why not stay in the same kind of car?

IMO Jumping in a fuel dragster would help the TEAM FORCE! That would probably be going against the grain. Ya in a situation like that you hit the throttle to straighten you back up and GO!Last edited by BigTruckDriver; 04-26-2007 at 07:40 AM.

I have gone fast enough to let ya know that things happen a whole lot faster then they do in your basic 11 second bracket car.... It all looks so easy watching from the stands, and even easier watching it on a single dimension boob tube. One of my lasting recollections from my go fast days is how idiotic it sounds when somebody who's never gone faster then a mid 12 in the quarter comes up and tells you all about your driving mistakes!!!!!!
One of my past car owners from the sprint car days still has a very appropriate sign in his race shop; "When you're up to your butt in alligators, it's hard to remember you came here to drain the swamp."
I can't even imagine what it must be like to go a quarter in the high 4's low 5's!!!!!!! I do know that is one heck of a lot more difficult then I could ever imagine!!!! You actually have to anticipate what is going to happen and react before it happens. Watching it in slow motion after about the 3rd replay it sure is easy to kick back in the arm chair and do the "would of, could of, should of routine....
I have all the respect in the world for ANYONE who can go in the 5's and faster. They have skills and abilities that are light years ahead of the rest of us......Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!
