What does a stock monza run for ?
About a month and a half ago I offered a guy 400 for his with title. He was excited (expected much less) and ready to sell.I thought about it a little and also have been out of town for the last month and a half. So I call him again and now he says no less than 500. The car has been wrecked and missing a fender, no motor , no trans, missing a seat, missing part of the wing in the back, no windshield, and has a sunroof cut into the top. Otherwise its all there, meaning it has not been cut up. I have looked on the internet and found a parts car sells for about 250. Looking on the web a little more I dont see many "stock cars" being sold. What do you guys think a parts car should sell for?Friends dont let friends drive fords!

I wouldn't give him over four hundred. A buddy of mine boght one with a fiberglass front end and doors for 250. He just got done adding a cage, narrowed 9" and will be installing a fresh 468 Big Block.

He's probably been talking to his buddy.
Tell him no thanks and let it sit for a while.
Odds are, he'll be calling you back.
$400. strikes me as a more than fair price for the car.
Around here, only the drag race gang wants Monza's and there ain't too many drag racers to start with.
(Be sure it comes with a steering box. If you don't use it you can sell it to a street rodder and get some of your $$ back.)C9

a few years back i needed a donar car for my monza, i spotted this thing in a field. the guy said 200 sound ok, it was burried up to the axel from sitting so long. it had oil in the crank case, a 350 monza by the way, fluid in the tranny. i showed up the next day with an air tank, a battery, and 5 gallons of gas. he came out and laughed as he told me its been sitting there for 10 years, i filled the tires, and gas tank, i dumped gas in the carb cranked it over for a minute and it started. his jaw hit the ground, as i drove it away 15 miles to my house. bottom line is its worth 500 bucks if you need it that bad. parts are hard to get for them these days.
Live everyday like it were your last, someday it will be.

The v8 cars are worth money because of heater core covers, engine frame mounts, auto trans tail shaft housings, etc. 4 cyl. & v6 cars are not worth much unless the sheet metal is rust free. Rust is a problem on all H-body's because patch panels are not available.

"What does a stock monza run for ? "
About four years..............
Sorry, I coulnd't help it.
That's funny about calling out the car models going by, that's one of my early memories sitting on a bus stop bench with my mom enthusiastically calling out the cool cars going by, I was about 4 or 5...
How did you get hooked on cars?
