ive just this second came across a diamond in the ruff photo. ive ony got 1 surviving picture of this car my dad drove. and i am constantly searching for others on the net. 1st is the only picture i have and second is the one i just got. its not much but it means alot to me to find a treasure like this. and well this is the only car site i frequent about daily so now you have to put up with it. its from oletha kansas dragway. probably 1973.

Now, if you could just "donate" one of those old bodies I'd have to seriously consider some nostalgia racing...... They were double kewl. Not as sleek and aerodynamic as the new stuff, but I think they are great!!!
I remember a pic and article in a mag many years ago where some guy turned a flopper into a street car!!! Just be tough to get the crew to follow you around and let you out when you stop!!!! I don't think the old ones had top hatches, did they?Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

i think that is where al vanderwoude was ahead of his time when building his cars, here is 1971 charger 3, and it has a hatch, maybe that is what he came up with after his 66 dart without a roof.Last edited by mooneye777; 06-17-2007 at 11:32 AM.

It doesn't appear to much of technological advances. But to the trained eye, there were huge forward movements in those days. That last pic you posted with the Dodge, major body changes, Fuel tank mounting and design, etc. Thanks for the melancholy trip down memory lane Moon. What if the "Hokey Pokey" is what it's really all about?
Visited a family member at Dockery Ford from the time I was 1 year old through their ownership and then ownership change to Morristown Ford. Dockery was a major player in the Hi Performance...
