Who knows of any Nostaliga racing in 2009

I would like to make some of them this year. I am planning on going to the drag bash. But was wondering if anyone on here knew of any other races.

If you make it out west any, The March Meet in Bakersfield is "a must attend". We make it our first event of the season running our 1960 VW. It's always a sell out on car registration.

Tell Troy to let Pops drive; that way maybe you can actually be competive....

I was going to mention the NHRA series of nostalgia events, but some one else already did.

It's a little far from Tennesee, but others on this thread may be interested. Go to the SIR website (Southwestern International Raceway) to see what Tucson will be doing this year.

Tucson has their Fuel Altered event June 13th, usually including wheelie cars and jets. The Jet Car Nationals will be here in October. There will be a 1/8th mile Street Rod Shootout in April. Also an NHRA divisional race this year.

We have hosted front engine fuelers and nostalgia funnies at some events....the California Funnycar Association races here....and there is often a Arizona Drag Racing Hall of Fame induction, and car shows, thrown in with some of these, so if you like it "the way it was" keep an eye on this website.

Oh My Goodness - If you ever come to the Pacific Northwest, be sure and check out Woodburn. It's a "time capsule" and a great way to enjoy a weekend (or two!)

races in Ky, Ill and Mo---probably even Bowling Green

A friend of mine has put on the East Coast Regional Nostalgia Drags and Car Show at the Capital Raceway in Crofton Maryland for the past three years. Haven't heard if they will do it again this coming October. Nice event.

Also another guy I know puts on the Jalopy Showdown Drags at Beaver Springs PA, October 3, 2009. Pre -'63 vehicles, mostly old drag cars, customs and traditional rods, and a lot of fun.

And of course, the HAMB Drag Nationals on August 22, 2009 at Mokan Dragway near Asbury Mo.

Also this July, in York PA there will be the York Reunion and Nostalgia Drags. The Reunion is held the first two days (Friday, 7/10 - Saturday, 7/11) at the York Fairgrounds and the Nostalgia Drags are held on Sunday July 12th at the Beaver Springs Dragway. http://www.yorkus30.com/

If you google - nostalgia drags, you should find dozens of them all over the country.
