Dave-Thanks, it was always in the top 60ft times, Don was so knowledgeable and so much fun, it was some of my best memories. We would go to dinner after the races and talk for hours.
lamin8r-Thank you, I wish I would of taken more time to document things and taken more photo's.

The Dragster shot with the blowers-eye view of the driver, I'd recognize that drag strip anywhwre, it's the now-deceased Carlsbad Raceway....
A different kind of drag racer, the first ones really cut up the track, the second one makes us all run faster!

Did our paths ever cross when we were still racing??
Jerry Clayton
Jerry,
I think so, I wasn't introduced to you but saw your car. I think it was at US131 in Martin Mich. Is that possible? I was there almost every year from 1984-90. I'm old so my memory might be screwed up, but for some reason that drag strip rings a bell.

if it was at a UDRA Pro Stock race during that time it was probably me and my group---however-I was thinking more about the Keeling & Clayton California Charger cars when I was racing out there
But, if it was the pro stocks------that'll do too

Explaination for photo #4---- Chuck Johnson, who built the car with John Keeling lost both his legs below the knees to a land mine in Viet Nam--this was one of his early ones.
And then there was the time he went skiing, wiped out big time and a woman skiied up to him to see if she could help( common couerteous practice) are you OK, do you need any help??? and seeing both legs laying twisted away, backwards----feinted---twice more as she came to and passed out again, and again
