Your answer on the twin engine dragster will be found here; http://twotogo.homestead.com/
Rather than giving you the answer, you'll have more fun and learn more by searching the site.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

Aaahhhhh. The "good old days". :-)
I remember when dragsters had the motor out front, where God wanted it!.... the ultimate production cars ran AA/GS, using a dragster engine, combined with a REAL car body that somebody had first used to take the kids to school!.... Cars were a ork of art, not a billboard for a product.... Pro Stock was a production car with slapper bars, bigger tires, and a tunnelram.... and the most beautiful car on the planet was a full bodied slingshot!
I also remember when Mom's stayed at home, and fixed home cooked meals.... kids would go down the street to be with their friends, instead of texting them, or being glued to a video game........when presidents gave their Generals whatever they needed, for as long as they needed it, to win..... Ooops! ..better not go there. {:-)
I posted in another thread that IHRA will headline "Prostalgia Funny Car Eliminator" next year, so we can feel a little bit of that old excitement!Last edited by HOTRODPAINT; 11-20-2009 at 09:54 AM.

Does anybody know when the picture that hotrodpaint posted was taken? I could be wrong, but I believe that the guy in the blue jacket and shades right above the "T" in the Lions Drag Strip sign is yours truly.Ken Thomas

The Hurst Hairy Olds was out running a Tornado with twin blown old's in the front and back doing runs lighting up all four tires almost the whole strip.
Grumpy Bill Jenkins ran super stock with Camero's and Vega's and Monza's
There was a guy out of Mich called The Mich Mad Man that ran a SBC sideways in a bike. They would wheel him up to the staging lights and put the bike on rear wheel kick stand. Then remote start the engine like ones used on dragsters and he would rev it up and kick the bike off the stand laying down over the whole thing.
Twin engined dragster called the Freight Train.
The Hemi underglass and The Little Red Wagon doing battle as wheelstanders
Jimmie Oddy ran a BB/gas Austin that won a Indy national.

All I remember is that the dragster was called "The Odd Couple". I think it started with two guys combining what they had.
