Loss of another great one
Bobby Langley died Friday. He was eighty.
His craftsmanship is legendary. The beauty of his "Scorpion" dragsters attest to that.
If Bobby appeared at an event he was easy to find. You just looked around for a crowd of people. In all likelihood a scorpion would be in the middle of it.
I don't have access to photographs at the moment but I'm sure others do and they will definitely be better than mine. Could somebody post some?
Bobby and Ruth Langley were probably the most respected couple in the history of drag racing in the southwest. My earliest memories of him were from the middle fifties.
A big loss.

My grandfather, mom's side, drove a 39 Plymouth coupe when I was about 4 or 5 and I thought it was pretty cool and I loved the tail fins on the 49 Cadillac. I drew cars when I was in the 5th and 6th...
How did you get hooked on cars?
