For Jerry and the rest of the FED gang!!!

I'm considering putting a FED together, just talk for now but might have some $ponsor$hip help if I wanted to go racing again....

So, the questions;
1. Many of the done cars I've looked at in ads are 200" wheelbase--for a consistent, good handling car would this be too long, too short, just right??

2. Is a 'glide the only way to go, or could a 2 stage clutch setup work--how did you guys used to do it??

3. Cooling system--radiator like the majority of the RED guys run, or a cool down rig for between rounds??? If I run Quick 8 or Fast Brackets, time between rounds can get very short....

4. Anything else I should have in mind before I get serious about buying a car, or building a new one????

If this ends up being a done deal, going to have my pickup, Camaro, and a lot of other stuff for sale---anyone interested?

If your looking at how they do it these days---they have a suspended rearaxle--would be kinda sore after a day of that in fed!!!!!!

And cooling system?????

Yeah-the 60' time fell after a conversion and the bounce in shutdown is nothing now.Smooth as silk now.

Glide yes-cooling system/fan yes for hot laps.

Yeah, cheap as they are with the track prep and spray around here, not unusual to spin tires at mid track, suppose suspension and some good shocks would put some tuning in it.

On board starter too.Just a reminder Dave that I am sure you know,it's really hard to race by yourself.Well in my mind you just can't do that.So a reliable crew member is one consideration ,better with two people and a driver.Golf cart,four wheeler,for tow vehicle and a trailer to handle all that.Sure does help on those rainy days for the trailer to be enclosed.

Well I don't know why I am telling you about the support stuff.You know about that already.It's great to have a awning on the side of the trailer for a work space.

Been racing with the same group for many, many years. Got all that stuff, plus more. Would like to get a new toter someday, just not in the cards for now....
