Jenkins was one of my favorites--except that he was a chevy guy--
people used to ask me what he was doing to win so much--my answer--he spends more time working on it----and it was true, true, true

One of his cars came up against me once. He walked by me and just shook his head. Of course it screwed me up because he was also one of my heroes at the time.
RIP Grump!!! Always been a Ford and Mopar guy, but I have to respect what Bill accomplished in his career, especially with some of his mouse motors!!!!

We think these guys are gonna live forever, but then the sun comes up and reality sets in.
We are all only human and some day we will all be gone.
We should all be as lucky as him, to have lived 81 years doing what we all love so much.
Almost from horse back to the computer age. What a great run he had.
His family and freinds should celebrate his life not mourn.

I hung over the fence at the Nationals from '62 to '74... and enjoyed cheering for him during "the Golden Age".
Being a Chevy guy most of my life, I enjoyed that he was always... always... a threat to win! I think his 66-67 Nova was my "fave".

I worshiped Grumpy. Bought a brand new 72 Vega and had a V8 in it in less than two years inspired by him and his Toys. He realized what a great sleeper 66 Novas were before anyone else did. But thanks to him we all sure found out. RIP and I agree he has a great life to celebrate.

When I was stationed at Aberdeen Proving Ground in '64 I made a few trips over to Cecil County Dragway remember seeing the "Monster Mash" '55 Chevy very wicked back in the day.RIP Grumpy!
