buying a ford a ford truck
I am looking to buy a ford truck '67-'75 so I think that it would probably be a FE. What are some good things to do with a running 360 or other FE to make it better spending max $1300?
I am thinking headers, edlebrock intake, high lift short duturation cam for torque.
thanks...

Get a 390 if at all possible. If you have a 360, junk the crank and pistons and replace them with 390 units. And yes, definately headers, intake and cam. I used a Performer cam in a mild 390 with headers and Edelbrock 4bbl and was a HUGE improvement over the stock 2bbl 360. Make sure the exh system is at least 2.25" duals or better.
