the Buick heads
First of all, another lesson on assuming what the seller sez is correct. I was told my nailhead was a 401, but the bore size proves it to be a 425!!! Guess it was my turn to get a lucky break on trading parts!!!
I build hot rods, and thus do not consider myself to be an engine specialist. I have put a lot of them together but I've never done a nailhead. I would like to do a bit of match porting on the heads, I do not plan on a flow bench type job, just a bit of a touch up on the runners and maybe some bowl work. The heads are being redone for 1.94 intakes, and 1.60 exhausts, stainless, of course. The induction side will be a 6 deuce intake. How's about Tech, Denny and some of you other engine guru's helping out with some suggestions??? ThanksLast edited by Dave Severson; 05-03-2005 at 06:59 PM.

Learning must be difficult for those who already know it all!!!!
When I was about six years old, a race car on a trailer went past our house. I thought it was the coolest thing I had EVER seen! And I haven’t been the same since. That was over fifty years ago. ...
