Freeze Plugs??

What purpose do freeze plugs serve?:confused:

They will keep your block from cracking in freezing weather

No they won't. Their only reason for being there is so the casting sand can be removed from the block after casting

In theory , but in reality they DON'T keep the block from cracking ...............and don't ask me how i know that:CRY: :CRY: :CRY:

Thanks!! I couldn't figure out a logical reason that they would be on the block at all.... :)
