CAN ANYONE TELL ,ME WHY I HAVE TO IDLE AT 1350 TO GET 750 IN GEAR? My camaro started acting crazy 72 chevy 350 268 comp cams stock heads except for noisy stamped steel roller rockers headers eld performer rpm intake 600 vac secondary 18 degrees initial 34 total 11 inches vacuum it shakes in park like a miss and in gear i dont think it should shake like that ....the cam aint that big oh yea stock dist runs like a bear just idle like shit help
i will check all the above when i first start it i can here a wistle on a rev but it goes away every time i try to find it
Disconnect your vacuum advance. I had the exact same problem with my 350 with a Comp Cams XE256H. You want about 8-12 degrees of initial advance as well.
when i disconnect the advance the rpms drop to 500 and i have to reset the idle
what do you mean 8 to 12 initial timing is that what you have at idle with the advance disconnected? because i have 18
