just traded a 71 350 2 bolt 2 sets of smogger heads for an original 65 283 untouched out of a 65 impala has ram horns. will probably be getting rid of the power pack heads oh well im just happy to get another 283:3dSMILE: anyone need a 283 2 barrell intake? or P.P. heads?......scooter

I'm......real......uh......happy for ya scooter
-
one mans junk is another mans treasure:p besides tech how about this .155 over:3dSMILE: **)
-
283's are great motors. i bored mine .30 over [i think that comes out to 302ci correct me if im wrong] i put on 461 double hump heads off of a old '65 327 that i have. and a comp cam. with an old style edelbrock torquer intake and a 600cfm holley 4160 and all of this is i my 1973 porsche 914. this thing moves and that motor sounds great and winds up real tight. it was the first motor i built and was a great learning experience everyone should start with a chevy! now i have a ford that im working on and i realize why so many people build chevy's because parts are cheap! anyway congrats Scooter

<yeah future plans <unless the bank deny's me:LOL: > are some cool wheels maybe old style 5 bar mag's or cragar s/s's and a new paint job probably same color and a full black interior.
-

Hey Scooter, isn't a Biscayne the same body style as an Impala??? If it is, you could find the doors and door posts off a 2 door hardtop, convert your wagon to a 2 door. Add the straight axle, fenderwell headers, instant nostalgia gasser you've been wanting!!!!!!!
-
 nah this is gonna be a daily driver with either the straight 6 -rebuild or the econo 283 build later will be a 427:3dSMILE: or a full roller 409:cool:
