Has anyone ever heard of a GM 701 c.i. motor? Apparently it came in an older Truck. I seen it the other day, the block is one peice but it has four heads. It looks like two sbc mated together. The spark plugs are inboard next to the intake.
Any info on it would be appreciated.
Ok, I found some info on it, apparently it was a 432 cu.in. motor. Seems like such a waste, ....all that weight for only so few cubic inches. I guess it would look pretty neat in a rod, but it doesn't seem like much of a power house.:LOL:
Actually, you were right the first time. It is a pair of sixes bolted together. Search GMC twin six for more info. Not a lot of HP or rpm but loads of torque. Built between 58-66. weighed over half a ton.
