Leaking Lincoln Oil pan gasket or rear seal.

Hello!
My "Adreniline Rush" started to stain the pavement with her precious fluid. Although I don't mind leaving a mark if it's from tread, I do mind paying the dealer $500.00 to stop the bleeding. I would much rather do it my self but it looks extremely complicated. I need some instruction on this one. I have been looking around and can not find a book on the car. It is not a very popular car, but I like it. The Haynes/Chilton Manuals list this car on their books, but they cover a different 4.6L. This one has the oversized heads, 32 valves, dual cams and so on. It is a manufactured rocket. Fastest I ever owned. If anybody knows where I can get the details on how to do the repairs, I would appreciate it if you would let me know. Thanks in advanced.:whacked:

Here are some of the specs for the "Adreniline Rush:" It is powered by an Intech 32V 4.6L, Sequential Fuel Injection, 8 cyl. The transmission is a standard automatic. It's a 1997 Lincoln Mark VIII. RWD. Thank you for your help. Anything else you need to know, let me know.

Is said Lincoln FWD or RWD?

There are some very good books on the 4.6 DOHC engines... Might want to check with Amazon or Barnes & Noble... The Lincoln's are tight on the bottom of the car. Whether it is the pan gasket or the rear seal, it's going to be a booger to get the engine up high enough in the car to fix it.... Haven't worked on the new Lincoln's much other then to rob a 4.6 engine from a wrecked one. Maybe some of the line mechanics at a Ford dealership could help you out with the specifics.
