ID numbers and heads for sale...

I posted this in a couple of areas to make sure the right person sees this. :D


I have two sets of heads for sale, but need to know what I am selling first. :)

They were supposed to be for a 1966 Star Chief with a 389. The first set of heads has a two digit number on the exhaust side, stamped 82. Also stamped by the rockers is two sets of numbers, B276 and 9780562.

The second set of heads has a two digit number on the exhaust side, stamped 76. also stamped by the rockers is two sets of numbers, a276 and 9778776.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to finding this info?

Thanks so much for the help. I've look through several books at Barnes and Noble (book store) and still couldn't find anything. At least I can successfully identify the one set.

Do you think these are worth anything, besides scrap metal? :D I'd like to throw them on Ebay, and don't want to sell them for $50 if they are worth $500.

If I had a #'s-matching Goat, these would be worth quite a bit. But I don't, so don't quote me.

Put them on Ebay with a reserve of what you will part with them for, and see where they go!!!
