if you can find the yellow in the duplicolor 1200* header paint i'd use that.... the 500* tends to flake of when it gets oil and other chemicals on it.... and yes that yellow looks incredibly nice of a choice.... i've done the ford red.... it really doesn't look that great, i actually like the ford blue better than the red.... the yellow looks good though, only thing i dont like about light colors is they show dirt and grime easier.... thats one nice thing about the factory black on the 200s
200's were always factory ford blue, only 144's and 170's had black blocks
funny cause my factory 200 in my 66 mustang 2+2 was black and it had never been touched... all matching numbers car with 131000 original miles
all the info I'v gotten, leads to 1965 being the last year for red/ black engines, after that Ford blue was used. my 200 was ford blue. shure was your 200 really a 200? 5 freeze plugs going down the side?

yes matt it really is a 200, has 5 freeze plugs and the vin# says its a 200 i knew the original owner well enough to know he wasn't lying about the car... my car was an early 66 made at the san jose plant. original california car born and raised
that's rare then, It's really hard to actully put dates on a lot of Ford stuff, they did so much stuff diffrent all the time, not to mention in the early 70's, all the Data for the 60's ( production #'s ect... ) burned in a fire.Quote:

and yes ford stuff is very disorganized.... all the different setups that they offered on a car but didn't really exactly list.... getting the right brackets and pulleys can be hell to go through, let alone some of the other parts
