Education - Horsepower TV style
HPTV just had a nice animation showing how a Roots-type supercharger works . . . except they had the impellers moving backwards. Their version would have sucked air out of the engine and blown it back throught he carb.Jack

Some of those TV car shows amaze me, the Hollywood factor turns them into entertainment vs facts, sometimes.
I'm starting to like Chop, Cut, and Rebuild better, though. Seems like they are really showing some of the nuts and bolts of how pro shops do things like fabrication. There is still some element of showmanship, like them actually let Dan Woods run some of the machines and all, but overall the show is pretty informative.
Now I have to get to the shop to reverse the flow of my supercharger. I had it sucking air INTO the engine......how dumb of me.

You know them hollywood engine builders are bestNo matter how many incorrectly installed parts or just plain missing parts ,that engine will run like Duntov himself built it,no matter how many trys it takes to get it running off camera
I mean they got that tricky reverse flow blower to work, they can do anything
By the way ,I bet that reverse flow blower is awsome on tailpipe emissionsIts gunna take longer than u thought and its gunna cost more too(plan ahead!)
Visited a family member at Dockery Ford from the time I was 1 year old through their ownership and then ownership change to Morristown Ford. Dockery was a major player in the Hi Performance...
