350 Ramjet Accessory Drive
I'm putting a 350 Ramjet in the wifes deuce, and am wondering what donor car to seek for the front end accessory drive parts. The ramjet has a long nose water pump. I think the manual mentions any post '86 chevy, but I thought I would canvas anyone who might have experience with a Ramjet install on their thoughts. Thanks in advance, Bob

I dropped a ZZ4 in my car, which is basically the same exact thing as the ramjet, but obviously you have the EFI. As far as the accesory drive parts, it depends on whether you want v-grooves or serpentine. I went with V-groove pulleys.... Pretty easy that way, any pulleys designed for the long pump will work. I wandered into my local speed shop and picked up a crank pulley (the deep one, it was like 2 or 3 inches deep, i dont remember exactly) with 2 grooves, one for my alternator and one for my power steering, which lined up perfectly. If you want a serpentine system, I think most post 86 chevys will have what you're looking for. Scour the local junk yard or ebay, those sepentines cost a fortune brand new

Thanks for the advice. I would like to go with v groove pulleys, kind of retain that old school look. What did you use for your power steering and alternator brackets? Did you use a modern or old style power steering pump?
Thanks again, bob
In our neighborhood, 2 blocks down the hill was a gas station that (to me) all the cool car guys hung out there. 32 coupes, 33 & 34 Fords as well, a sweet 56 Ford Beach wagon that was setup gasser...
How did you get hooked on cars?
