Crower Camsaver lifters
I am trying to get my little 327 sbc done and off the engine stand. I have a comp. cams XE 262 in it (straight out of the box and into the engine) and it came with a box of hydraulic flat lifters. But after reading some of the posts on this site about hydraulic flat tappet lifter problems I thought I should look around and see what other manufacturers might offer. And I ran across a line of lifters that Crower makes called Camsaver. The name caught my attention so I called Crower Tech. and asked if these lifters could be used on a street car, daily driver type. He got back to me and said they can be and shouldn't be any problem. I am looking for a little piece of mind and I am also curious what you all think. I plan to follow the break-in word for word and use one of the camshaft break-in oil supplements. But again, just curious what you all think?
