carb problems on my 235 L6
Hey all,
long time no talk and i hope everything is well with all.
I have been driving my 58 pretty regularly now for several months, however i have settled into a troubling pattern. Shell run great for about five days until something else goes wrong with the carb (holley 390 #4160) and the latest problem is especially entertaining. First, the car began to stutter as i was driving and then finally died. Upon restarting it back fired. After a little tinkering, checking spark and other electrical stuff, we cranked the engine and fuel burst from the primary air vent straight up in a perfect steady stream. nothing was getting to the bowls like something had clogged the metering block and was forcing fuel out the vent. Sound like a fair assumption? Is it the ever elusive power valve ro what? Jets? Any thoughts would be helpful...If you're gonna do it.............do it in style.

I wore a camouflage T-shirt once. The response in the pub was "Oooh, it's a floating head!" .
