Matt, unless that 92 Ranger had an engine swap, it should not have a 2.8L V6. The 2.8 was only used in the Ranger in 1983-85.
92's came with either a 2.9 Cologne, a 3.0 Vulcan or a 4.0L.
The 2.8 was carbureted, all the others were injected.
