does anyone know for sure how much air per revolution a 4/71 displaces? I'm toying with the idea of fitting one to a chrysler 318 that I'm in the throws of freshening up.

Well, they blow enough to supply a 284 cube two-stroke. 71 cubes per cylinder, times 4 cylinders=284 total. You see them on 350's and like that. A 318 should work great with one.
Agree with R Pope, the 4-71 will work great on anything around 300 cubic inches, give or take a little. I talked with Mert Littlefield several years ago about this particular application.
Awsome thanks guys.:3dSMILE:
It's going to be a fairly low buck build, and I haven't even decided what car I'll put it in yet. I'm thinking a low revving, good down low torque motor. I have a blown pushrod 4cyl jappa that I rev the nuts off of, and it often sits in my back yard with a blown engine extended periods of time.:HMMM: So she wont be a hand grenade with the pin pulled spec motor.
