edelbrock 1405 - ford 400M / 351M
Anybody here running an edelbrock 1405 carb on a 351m or a 400m ?
I am hoping for some info on what jets / springs / rods etc to start out at .
I run a 400m with FMX and 9 inch (2.75 gears) in my '53 F100 .

It'll be close right out of the box with these parts....
Metering Jets - Primary .100, Secondary .095; Metering Rods - .070 x .047; Step-Up Spring - orange (5" Hg).
Use this Owner's Manual to fine tune it....

Here are the tune-up parts....

Hey thanks for the link to the manual, Very helpful. I'd purchased a calibration kit (#1479) figuring I was going to need it. The 1405 was on the engine when my pickup was imported (came out of longbeach Ca) about 2.5 years ago. I've made a couple changes to the engine recently and figure the tune could be improved now. More than anything I was hoping for a 'start point' or a reference point from someone running a similar set up - just me being lazy?
thanks again
