i have a carter 650 thats leakin out the plunger where the linkage hooks to. The front right when ur looking at it. It floods out and wont start. The bowls continue to fill after i stop cranking it.

Sounds to me like your needle & seat is shot, or you've got too much fuel pressure - should be in the 5psig range, not much more.
That would be the accelerator pump--if fuel is coming out around the shaft where it goes through the top then either the accelerator pump is shot, or the things Roger mentioned.
to much fuel psi . floats set to hi... or bad float
took it apart . . . A tiny rubber shaving, prob from the fuel hose, made its way under the neddle so it couldnt seat properly. Got it back on and vroom vroom. Thanks for the suggs guys.
