Speed Pro 7070 P orientation
Hello Everyone,
I've finally decided to finish off my 355sbc. I have a set of Speed Pro 7070p .30 pistons for it. How do i know the correct orientation for the piston .
Should it be as picture here, where the dome is on the bottom and the valve reliefs are at the top ( closer to the lifter valley). I dont see any notches or arrows marked on the piston.
I have read up on the site, and understand that the chamfer side of the connecting rod should be against the crank wall /cheek and the flat side should be against the adjacent rod from the other bank.
But im still confused as to how the piston should sit in the block.
In our neighborhood, 2 blocks down the hill was a gas station that (to me) all the cool car guys hung out there. 32 coupes, 33 & 34 Fords as well, a sweet 56 Ford Beach wagon that was setup gasser...
How did you get hooked on cars?
