Injection Phase Angle Question For Corey Or???

So I went back to my guy at Edelbrock, talking to him about some changes I made to correct for the old leaky fuel pressure regulator. After looking at my tune file he came back with a suggestion that I might consider changing my injection phase angle map. In my system the map values define the point in the crank rotation where the injectors close, ending the injection of raw fuel.

Considering a cam timing where the intake closes 40 degrees ABDC, do you have any opinion on what the injection phase angle curve might look like for optimum tune? The table defining the curve has MAP from 0 to 31 vs rpm from 0 to 6000 rpm.

I was thinking of your Corey, and hoping you might see what he says about Injection Phase Angle, Jerry. Anyone else that's versed in Injection timing is welcome to chime in, too. I have a "map" that has been in place since day one on mine, and today simplified it with a new map. Tomorrow will be some time driving and watching the RPM, MAP and F/A display at different throttle conditions.

Good deal! Explain to him that the point of reference on mine is the crank rotation point where the injector closes, and this is sequential port injection, not throttle body. The ECU determines the opening point based on the programmed fuel need and rpm, knowing that the close point is fixed. Some systems define Injection Phase angle as the point where the injector opens, but mine is the close point. My intakes close at 40 ABDC, and I'm wondering about optimum injector timing.
