Ok so I just got done putting in a new cam 3 of the lobes were completely rounded and 3 lifters were dished (bad) got everything put together and now there is a new knock while putting the cam in I went ahead and dropped the oilpan and checked the rod bearings they felt good no play in it got any suggestions on what it could be? Iv got a video of it not sure how to post it tho
Welcome to CHR. With three lobes totally rounded how did you go about cleaning out all of the abrasive grit in the engine? What do you mean the rod bearings "felt good"?
Ty I made a a rod with a key on the end to fit on the oil pump from the distributor hole turned the other side down to 3/8 to get my drill on it poured diesel fuel own the valley and ran the dril drained and repeated
Pull the motor and tear it down.
You tried to get by on the cheap, it didn't fly.

Were the 3 failed lobes close to each other??????? like maybe toward front of cam??
Did you check the mains? and felt good? did you remove rod caps or just wiggle them?
