250 cid
anybody build up and/or race with a straight six 250? i was at hemmings musclepalooza show at the track the other day and a guy that goes by the Madfrenchman was pulling impressing wheelies and times with a straight six maverick. so i was wondering if my straight six might come to good use in a small light car in the future or if i should just sell it and be done with it.

thanx streets:D
i got a look at the maverick i talked about in the pits between rounds and it had 3 carbs and a split header. i've never heard anything like it, it sounded awesome. looks like i might hold to my 250:)

You GOTTA pick up Chevrolet Inline Six-Cylinder Power Manual
by Leo Santucci
Awsome book, been re-reading it for months. I think someone here told me about it, and I really dig that book.

I've been debating what to do about an engine in my '67 C10 for awhile, I really would like something a little more different than a 350 or 454, something like a 427 or a 348/409... or go to the opposite side of the spectrum and hop-up one of my inline six's that i have laying around here, never really got looking around for parts though, cant seem to find any.
If i go with one of the straight six's my dad wants me to turbo charge it so I was thinking of custom manifolds with a throttle body, anyone think it is reasonable? i've seen a dozen or so cars with turbo's but the articles never get into the fueling system.
(and heck, while i am in the typin mood, might as well share a little info, name's Dustin (or Dusty), 17 years old, fairly knowledgeable in machining and fabrication (going to a Vocational School in Batavia for Machining during the school year), i am restoring/rodifying a '67 Chevy C10 pickup... havent gotten too far on it, just got the frame sand blasted and painted and now i am trying to save up money for repair panels.... probably not the right place for this but I figured what the heck, jump into a slow convo in the beginning)
