Is a flat tapper cam ok for a big block stroker engine, of about 600 hp. I no that it is less to have your engine built with a flat tapper but is it any big diference in the performance, compare to a roller cam?

Well flat tapper well hold up fine with 600 hp.but a roller can turn higher rpm's .and can take a larger lope.
what rpm range is the flat tapper able to do, compare to roller?
You can get solid flat tappets that are good for over 8000 rpms. The main advantage for roller is you can go with a much more radical lobe design on a roller than a flat tappet. Which means you can get the valve off the seat to full lift quicker with a roller than a flat tappet.
Thanks for the information. I am glad to be able to get such good information. This club is great!
