4.9 L 210 HP Turbo V8 4V HUH????
I want to know about my car, but I don't know a thing about cars! Streets gave me a ton of links to find tech info about my engine...I read it...but I don't get it! I think I understand the Turbo, but I don't know what the heck Litres and HP V8, and Valves mean... Can ya tell me...SPEAK VERY SLOWLY...and in terms a 6 year old could understand...what those things mean and how to compare it to other engine types etc.????

4.9L means that your engine displaces or pushes 4.9L of air/fuel with every 360 degree rotation. Valves are in your Heads. 4V per cylinder is supposed to flow better than 2V per. 210 HP means that you have a solid but not overly powerfull engine. You should be able to smoke a stock v6, but other V8s are going to waste you.Last edited by drg84; 08-01-2004 at 12:01 PM.

You're welcome Mike, glad it worked out for you. Roger, it's taken a few years but my inventory of excess parts has shrunk a fair bit from 1 1/2 garage stalls to about an eight by eight space. ...
