454. With the extra torque you can gear it higher and get better mileage.

Most of the time haulin ass.
the 3.73 gears are keepers till they break.
with the extra torque down low of the big block. maybe I would just spin my way trough the gears or break something.
wanting most improvement for least money in the long run.
actually haulin both fire wod and ass plus a bit of towing wagons.
well I could put in a set of 2.76 rear gears.
wow with them gears a 454 would still have more grunt in 1st gear.
plus turn only 1775rpm @ 90km/h (56mph)
