New Engine!!! Need More Power.
Hello, I have recently purchased a camaro Z28 and I have some extra money to spend on tuning up the engine, I was hoping some one could tell me some: Basic, easy, and effective mods I can add to get more horsepower and speed out of the engine? Thanks-Mitch.

Dont go nuts until you have done the basics..............a good tune up....better air filter, so it will breathe, better exhaust, so it will breathe.....................maybe, headers, so it will breathe...............Bigger cam and carb, so it will breathe............better heads.................See a pattern emerging here?
An engine needs to breathe to work well.
If you want better accelerarion, stiffer rear end gears are the way to go, but take into account, your mileage will suffer................
An engine rebuild will also help, if needed.
Those are the basics..............then you can get the nutty stuff like NOS and blowers etc.

Poncho, it's an instant gratification world, everybody wants everything right now without going through the hassle of preparation. Fortunately, Muscle Mitch seems to be an exception.
Mitch, some more info on your engine would be helpful. Year? Cubes? How many miles on it? Factory HP rating? etc.
