question about engines
on hot rods what are the pipes that come off the engine out of the hood i think 8 maybe i dont know anything much i just would like to know what they are

what you are thinking of is most likely velocity stacks which are used for air/fuel induction and there is usally one for each cylinder so usually 8. demolition derby, mud boggers, and drag racers sometimes have the exhaust come out and straight up

ahhh i thought that was something with the exhaust but i wasnt sure thanks alot
