engine swapping?
This may sound funny, but I'm trying to get more hp. out of a 1996 geo prizm, it has an existing 1.6, 105 hp. little put-put. I've heard somewhere that it is possible to swap this engine with a 3s-gte from a toyota mr2. To get 230 hp. Is this possible and if not can anyone recommend an engine that I can use?Last edited by DEMON143; 09-24-2004 at 03:16 PM.

My cousin Justin has a Geo prism, but his is the 3 cylinder. Needless to say, I rag on him on multipule occasions. However, as for the Engine swap, forget about it. If memory serves me right, their a different bellhousing. If you want a HP boost, look into a turbo, a Overbore, or pull the whole drivetrain out, put it on a GM ladder body frame, Bolt a 350 in and use it as "The sleeper from hell" Otherwise, you cant do much ith it
Also, word of warning, the unibodys on those have a good tendancy to rot along the mid-railsRight engine, Wrong Wheels

Man drg84 that would be one bad a$$ geo.It ain't broke if you can fix it.
We managed to get a couple of other small things taken care of. One was blacking out the front of the core support. When the sun hit the front of the car just right that green paint on the core...
