Laveen, AZ area residents - classic car cruise night!
Laveen area residents - classic car cruise night!
---------------------
Hey Laveen area residents. How about an informal cruise next week? A new Sonic Drive-in has opened here in Laveen. It is at:
7745 SOUTH 51ST AVENUE
PHOENIX, AZ 85339
This is on 51st Ave, just South of Baseline.
I am going to head over there next Friday (the 29th of September) at around 6:00 p.m. and hang out until about 8:00 or so (unless a lot of cars show up).
Swing by and say hi, grab a drink and let's start a brand new cruise night in our own area.
Look for my car, a 1965 Chrysler Newport, white over blue.
Bring your cruiser, beater, rat rod, or whatever, as long as it is old!
Please drop me a note at shrug@cox.net and let me know you are coming so I can look for you!
This is an informal gathering, just bring your hot rod and hang out."Better living through reckless experimentation"

Hey Shrug, you mention white over blue, so you evidently got it out of the paint shop? How did it turn out? Maybe you posted and I missed it, but the last I heard you were going into the shop for paint.
Post some pictures.
Don
Didn't want to hi jack this thread, but I was just curious about your paint.

Hey just go here to see the pics: http://www.forgottenclassics.com/ind...bum.php&page=2
I still need to get the rest of the trim on, and stuff like that. With my poor health it is awfully slow going all by myself."Better living through reckless experimentation"

Very big improvement. I agree that the white top works on this car. Otherwise it might have been too much blue.
Looks great. Bet it runs better too.

Thank you. Yup it is coming along pretty nicely. As I said before, that is a body style that just begs for a white top."Better living through reckless experimentation"
Sorry for your loss of friend Mike McGee, Shine. Great trans men are few and far between, it seems. Sadly, Mike Frade was only 66 and had been talking about retirement for ten years that I know...
