That looks like a great show! Can anyone tell me about the orange '35 ute towards the top?? Is that a custom job because in the US our '35 trucks didn't get passenger car grills??'35 Ford coupe- LT1/T56, '32 Ford pickup, 70 GTO convertible, 06 GTO

Awesome photos Barnsey and thanks for the link. The '35 orange pickup is a Aussie original Ute body . Different but absolutely gorgeous and that one looks fantastic.I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

Nice pix man .... it appears that open wheel cars aren't really open wheel?? What's up with the funky fenders?

Yes the poor Hot Rod guys and gals over in Aussie ain't as lucky as you guys in America or us across the pond in NZ with our fender exemption scheme. The law is very very strict over in Aussie and sadly getting more difficult to build and legally drive modified cars on the public roads. Some guys are fitting fibreglass guards that the moulds were taken from actual tyres so that when mounted look like the tyre. Hope you can understand that dripple.I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

all photos in the above link were posted on ozrodders.com by a Club Hotrod member (olski dave)
not sure about the orange ute,
this could be the same one but looks slightly different, this lot of pics and artical are from 2005, so i am guessing that the ute you are talking about might be the same one with a few changes, olski dave might be able to shed some light on it.

I noticed a lot of the had black fenders and if fenders are required it kinda works. I had to do a double take a couple times to make sure there was actually a fender there.
Thanks for the link Barnsey. Thats a real interesting truck and the guy's girl ain't too bad eitherLast edited by 35fordcoupe; 11-11-2010 at 07:22 AM.

Could the fenders be made out of some sort of clear plastic?? Put them on at a show, and all you would see is tyre.. Al
Great update, Mike! I adhere to Clint Eastwood's philosophy on aging, "Don't let the old man in!" Once in he's hard to evict. Thanks for keeping us involved with your projects!
