I plan on doing the whole long haul Hot Rod Power Tour this year. I did it in 2022 with my T Bucket, I had a ton of fun, and I actually made it on the cover of the magazine.

This year, I’m taking my 1947 Chevy Stylemaster, and riding in air conditioned comfort. Unfortunately, that car has developed a rod knock the past few weeks, so I just ordered a new 350 crate engine for it. I should be able to install that over the next couple weeks.

To add to the adventure a bit, my Nephew is getting married in Michigan two days before the Power Tour. So my plan is to drive the Chevy from Florida to Michigan, attend the wedding, then drive to Bowling Green, Kentucky to start the Power Tour.

This year the tour goes from Bowling Green, Kentucky to Nashville Speedway to Louisville, Kentucky to Cincinnati, Ohio to Indianapolis Raceway Park.

I’m looking forward to this adventure.
