need 4spd for 1969 ford 390 everything
Have a 1969 Ford LTD 2 DOOR cloned as a Cobra. Has 390 4 barrel and tons of go fast goodies. Makes over 400hp.. Anyway have 4:11 gear and posi but only 3spd auto. Was going to go to aod auto but would rather go with 4spd manual. I need everything to make it a 4spd including pedals. Anybody got one? I could go with new 5 or 6spd but would rather stay old school. Thanks ShaneLast edited by slincoln 3; 06-13-2014 at 08:11 AM.

Beware buying from an individual. I bought a Toploader RUG from a Deputy Sheriff in Florida and was very disappointed that most of the internals were junk. David Kee bought all the remaining parts that were serviceable and made me a good price on them, so my hit wasn't so devastating. If you want to deal with a man who has honesty and integrity going for him, buy Toploaders and parts from David......

Thank you. I have bought many a C-6 and top loaders over the years and found them to be tough as nails, hard to damage and almost impossible to break. I was looking for a used setup as opposed to buying a new 4spd auto to off set steep gear. If I was to go with a like new setup I would go with new 5 or 6spd manuals and go to 4:33 or 4:56 gear. It only makes since for me if its reasonable cuz it ain't going to give me anything over a aod tranny but cost and certainly ain't got nothing over new 5 and 6 spds out there. Thanks so much I'm sure its sound advice!!!Last edited by slincoln 3; 06-14-2014 at 01:37 PM.

We managed to get a couple of other small things taken care of. One was blacking out the front of the core support. When the sun hit the front of the car just right that green paint on the core...
