Installing a blower on a flathead

Update on the install: Did a dry run yesterday with the bellhousing and the adapter plate. The dowel holes in the aluminum adapter were not aligned exactly right. That is why the ears broke when I tried to tighten up the bolts. Dumb me! So, I "wallowed" out the dowel holes just a little with a 3/8'" drill. Then my brother and I carefully stabbed the tranny into the engine. I will install the motor/trans next week with his help. Need to modify the trans support bracket holes to align with the new position of the trans mount. Then, going to have the driveshaft shortened again about 3/4". Then, finally, I can sort out the clutch and driving so I can feel confident in pulling the heads and replacing with the Edelbrocks and the blower install. Thanks for all your support on this site...it is encouraging to know that you guys are with me on this build! :)

No Sir.It's you and your ability to figure out these issues that keeps me following this thread.Some would have haft of the tools thrown about their shop in frustration.(and no that isn't me that I am talking about)

Thanks 1gary...I appreciate the vote of confidence I can pull this off! :) I will probably have my bro' come over on Tuesday to drop the engine in and then it's up to me to figure out the new rear trans. mount position. Not too hard. Then hook up all the wires, gas lines, and linkage and we're ready to go except for the exhaust and drive shaft and clutch linkage. Always something. I can't wait to get this thing basically running with the T-10 four-speed and clutch working properly. Then I can pull the old heads, install the Edelbrock 75cc heads, and put the blower on and hook it up. As you know, I have the blower pulley and the belt tensioner installed on the motor. Get a belt to fit and crank it up! Final tuning will occur with the blower retard module from MSD and gauges hooked up. Maybe it will happen by my 69th birthday on Jan. 20th! That would be nice!

Now that would be one heck of a nice birthday present to give yourself!!!! Looks like everything should work this time, though sometimes the clutch linkage can be a bit problematic if you have many clearance issues....

Well, it's back in the truck. Working on the motor mount position and the clutch actuator.

Good to hear things are finally working out in the drivetrain!!! Going to put us up some pics when things are all situated????

Wanted to move the tail end a little over to the passenger side to give my exhaust header just a little more clearance away from the steering box. Had to dimple the exhaust manifold when I originally installed the engine to clear the box, but now, I can just make the mount adjustment. A picture also of my garage I had built 2 years ago for my truck and the Mustang. Makes a great "getaway" when you need that time alone! :) The Mustang is back in the house garage for now....the truck needs to be set that way to get clearance for the engine pull. Next week, back to work on the truck. Tomorrow, at work at 5:00 a.m. for black friday. Cheers!

I'm in Florida....40 miles southwest of Orlando, off Hwy 27. The garage is built in the backyard and we have a little "alleyway" behind the house the city uses to pick-up trash and garbage. Went under the truck before turkey...doesn't look like the clutch linkage is going to be any big deal....a spacer maybe, but that's it. Anyone know how much the throwout bearing has to deflect the pressure plate fingers for the clutch disc to be 100% disengaged? 1/8" or 1/4 or so? I cut a little window in the bellhousing to set up the rough adjustment but I was just wondering how much travel I will need to get a "good" clutch actuation.
