87 Swap
I Have A 1987 Ford F250 With A 460 In It. I Have A Problem With The Motor And Want To Swap A 1976 460 Into It. Can I Use The Balance, counter Weight, And Fly Wheel From The 87 And Put It On The 76 Motor? If Not Can I Use The Rods From The 76 And Put Them Into The 87 Motor?

If your 1987 F250 has a carburetted engine and is the original engine, then you should be able to install the 1976 engine provided you find a zero balance flywheel to go with that 1976 engine and use the original oil pan and oil pump pickup tube from the 1987 engine (assuming they are shaped differently than the 1976 engine's pan and pickup tube).
While this swap is possible, it can get wierd when it comes to ordering parts at your local parts store and need certain gaskets, etc. or if you sell the truck to somebody down the road.
No garantees on emmission control crossover between these two years.
Good luck,

Ditto on the model kits! My best were lost when the Hobby Shop burned under suspicious circumstances....
