Can I convert a 1991 460 to a carburetor by just changing the intake manifold or are the heads different ? It's a 1991 F-250

If ur 460 has the intake that looks similar to a 4 barrel with the upper off. U could make some sort of adapter from an aluminum 2 or 4 barrel 1 to 2 inch spacer and a piece of flat stock pretty easy i think?Just put the flat piece at the bottom of the spacer and drill to fit the lower intake bolt pattern and then cut the opening as needed.u could get real fancy and trim the lower existing intake and use jb weld in between the spacer and the flat stock to make it flow more smoothly or option #2 u could take the flat stock and mout it to the lower existing intake trace and cut the spread bore out line then fill and smooth as needed to make it seal under the flat stock, then just mount ur carb right on like factory. u aint got nuthin to lose tryin if the stuff wont work anyway! sort of a franken carb set up lolLast edited by shawnlee28; 07-17-2004 at 01:43 PM.

Ditto on the model kits! My best were lost when the Hobby Shop burned under suspicious circumstances....
