cam failure
I need help here guys, I built a 1970 dove-a block with dove-c heads basicaly stock other than cam and roler rockers. the cam is a comp 4x4 extreme single pattern .514 lift 210/218 duration. the roller's are harland sharp 1.70 ratio I used 8.690 hardened push rods and guide plate's the valve guids are machined for posative seal's. I adjusted the valves to 0 lash + 1/4 turn. 1156 miles into running this combo my cam went south #7 exauste ate the lifter and took the hard surface off the cam and a small part of the lobe. the lifter was extremly concaved only on part of the lifter which to my way of thinking was caused by the lifter not rotating, anyway I'd like to figure out what caused this before I put it back together!!!!!!
Thanks

Ditto on the model kits! My best were lost when the Hobby Shop burned under suspicious circumstances....
