Hydraulic Lifter Adjustment
I rebuilt the heads on my 1964 Galaxie's 390. I never touched the hydraulic lifters, but a friend said that I still need to do an adjustment on them. Is this true?
If so, how do I do that now that the engine is back together? Thanks! It's not really work unless you'd rather be doing something else!

Unless you've replaced the rocker arms with adjustable ones for solid lifters, NO, there is no adjustment for hydraulic lifters on an FE motor.Duane S

Thanks for such a quick response! No, I haven't changed any parts on the engine. I basically cleaned up my valves and replaced the valve seals. I have a new rocker shaft assembly that is an exact replacement of the factory part. Thanks again. It's not really work unless you'd rather be doing something else!
