Hi,
I am trying to trace down some fan bolts that are appropriate for a 1970 428 PI. I have one that is in poor condition, it appears to be a 5/16" fine thread and about 3.25" long. I am having a hard time trying to find this size commercially. Any chance anyone has a source?

Most any hardware store or parts store with a bolt bin....Nothing real uncommon about them, they might have been Grade 8 bolts....
Fastenal or most any other hardware supply place on line or real store should have them.....
I wouldn't go any less than grade 8 on those..
The 3 1/4 won't be in a hdwr store. Go to McMaster-Carr they have them.
Can't exclude all hardware stores.... Our Ace Hardware in a little town of 6500 people has a great bolt assortment, Grade 5, Grade 8, and a good selection of popular stainless sizes..... all in standard and metric.... Depends on who owns and or manages the place......Quote:

Yes they do but you will have to wait a few minutes for someone to pull your order and get it up---there are self service computer stations where you enter the order , BUT, it is quicker to order it for will call.
